Cette œuvre faisait partie de mon exposition solo Un lieu vide où il ne se passe rien (Galerie FOFA, Montréal, 2022). Parrainée par la Bourse Claudine et Stephen Bronfman en art contemporain, elle proposait une expérience troublante en utilisant le mur à la fois comme concept et comme construction. L’installation avait recours à une surabondance de motifs et à une structure en papier mâché pour jouer avec les notions d’intérieur et d’extérieur. Ce faisant, elle sondait les conventions du goût, du luxe et de la sécurité.
/This piece was part of my solo show Un lieu vide où il ne se passe rien (FOFA Gallery, Montreal, 2022). Supported by the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Fellowship in Contemporary Art, the installation offered an uncanny experience, using the wall as both a concept and a construction. With an overload of patterns and papier mâché architecture, the exhibition messed with notions of interior and scale while probing conventions of taste, luxury, and safety.
