Alfred Muszynksi's artistic practice can be simply defined as a hybridization between painting, collage and digital art. His paintings are primarily done using oil - but frequently include printed images, drawing and 3D elements such as laser-engraved acrylic or paintings on concrete. The incorporation of LCD screens and smart phones as part of his displays result in a unique contrast of static and moving images. His practice seeks to replicate the content agglomeration, style dissonance and memetics at the heart of internet aesthetics and vernacular. He frequently employs the visual aid of 'mapping' as a way to trace the otherwise speculative origins of online aesthetic production. His practice is rooted in an eclecticism of mediums and styles, evoking a disregard for the serialization and categorization of his work. Found images, screenshots or AI generated content populate his compositions, challenging preconceived notions of copyright and ownership in the field of painting.
