Kuh Del Rosario

Driven by a simple question of how to be, Kuh Del Rosario explores the nuanced ways of answering such a broad question. Investigating environmental possibilities, Del Rosario attunes with materials that are common and often overlooked as medium for her sculptural forms. Such materials are at times vulnerable to their environments, presenting instability towards erosion, molding and varying ways of degradation.

Single-use plastics, vegetal matter, and pantry ingredients are just a few included in her material list, encountered and collected from life movements. But it is through these elements that her practice is moved and challenged to find new ways of being.

Kuh Del Rosario is based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, QC. Attuning with everyday materials, her practice is driven by a desire for grounding within the environment she takes part in. She has been supported by The Peter Thompson Family Graduate Scholarship, Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec , Canada Council for the Arts, Fonderie Darling (Romany Eveleigh Gift), and The Claudine & Stephen Bronfman Fellowship. Recently, Del Rosario exhibited at SKOL, Centre Clark, Maison de la Culture Monkland, Stewart Hall, Gallery 1c03 and Galerie Nicolas Robert. Upcoming exhibitions at The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie (August), Fonderie Darling (September) and a solo show at B-312 (2025).
