In this work Tina Marais is questioning the instinct to gather, to hunt and source for materials, touch and interaction being fundamental to this process. It is a visceral, primitive response to matter. It is the transformative potential, or nature of matter, that attracts her. It is a curious process of the selection of what molecular assemblages are subsequently connected to her personal environment.
